Established in spring 2009, the BORDA-LIRE DEWATS-Programme Cooperation initially aims to focus on decentralized sanitation through the promotion of BORDA’s Decentralized Wastewater Treatment System (DEWATS) for Community Based Sanitation (CBS) and Small & Medium Enterprises (SME).
In the short term, the BORDA-LIRE DEWATS- Programme Cooperation will be facilitating the implementation of a number of DEWATS learning projects to develop its in-country implementation capacity and to establish working models in Laos to support further DEWATS promotional activities.
The BORDA-LIRE Cooperation DEWATS-Programme is able to provide DEWATS consulting, design and supervision services and is looking to align itself with communities, SMEs, institutions and donors that are interested in DEWATS technology.
