Dengan semakin terbatasnya air yang tersedia untuk digunakan dalam kebutuhan sehari-hari, maka reklamasi dan penggunaan kembali (reuse) air menjadi pilihan yang logis untuk konservasi air. Buku ini menyajikan informasi terbaru mengenai reklamasi, daur ulang, dan penggunaan kembali air baik teori maupun praktek yang telah diterapkan.
Aplikasi penggunaan kembali (reuse) air diantaranya yaitu untuk pengairan di taman-taman kota, cadangan air untuk pemadam kebakaran, pencucian mobil komersial, dan juga pembilas toilet di rumah dan gedung perkantoran.
Teknologi yang digunakan dalam mereklamasi air juga dipaparkan dalam buku ini, diantaranya yaitu dengan menggunakan: nanofiltrasi, flotasi, reverse osmosis, elektrodialisis, dan lainnya.
